These are heavy industrial positions in a manual machinist environment.

GREAT/STABLE company seeking a prep operator for our machinist/lathe operator position. Starting range around $23.00 to $24.00 ~ per hour.

Will train on 1st or 3rd working hours are 2nd shift 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

This position requires welding (Mig carbon steel/stainless/sub arc).

• Micrometer experience, Inspection, Reading Blueprints, Ability to correctly calibrate and utilize the full range of micrometers and dial indicators measuring tools utilized in the Prep area.

• Demonstrates clear understanding of tolerances, common machining terminology, and critical measures to Prep (Run-out, TIR, taper, concentricity, etc ..)

• Understands and can reference standard bearing steps and sizes.

• Can MIG weld and perform journal repair to as new OEM condition.

• Demonstrates clear understanding of the company Work Orders, including Production Notes and Customer Instructions

• Can operate all overhead cranes and hoists safely and with proficiency.

• Able to perform re-centering and clean up of rolls for the strip grind ceramic operation.

Anilox experience is a plus.
Manual Lathe and Cylindrical Grinding for a Printing or Packaging company is a plus.
Steel toed boots or steel toed shoes are required.
Must be able to stand for shift and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Must be able to bend and stoop as needed.

*2nd and 3rd shift positions must be able to train on 1st shift or 3rd and then work 2nd shift 3pm-11pm
$$23-$24.00 per hour depending on experience

Seeking Engine Lathe Operations and Cylindrical Grinding

Essential Functions

Operate production, grinders, lathes, and Plasma equipment to meet daily production goals and specifications.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment; report any machine operational problems to supervisor.
Practice good housekeeping in assigned area and properly dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the lead person or supervisor.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience with manual Lathes and Grinders
