Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineer/Gray Court, SC – (Direct Hire)
Hours: 8am-5pm (M-F)
Pay Range: $75K - $100K (Depends on Experience)
Job Summary:
The Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for creating and managing engineering projects, drawings and bill of materials to meet project specifications and industry standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
? Review customer specifications to understand project requirements.
? Make/revise cost calculation sheet for Change Orders.
? Create project submittals, including drawings and bill of materials.
? Ensure project submittals are accurate and timely.
? Support Procurement and Quality with supplier selection.
? Provide efficient and effective design solutions for Production.
? Support other departments as needed.
? Define, measure, and improve process quality and efficiency.
? Support continuous improvement and cost efforts.
? Ensure assigned projects come in or under planned budget. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Proficient (intermediate) with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
? Proficient (intermediate) with Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD, Inventor.
? Manages and organizes multiple projects, priorities, and communications.
? Communicates professionally and effectively (written, verbal, and presentation).
? Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external partners.
? Flexibility when presented with urgent or spontaneous requests from managers.
? Maintains knowledge and understanding of key trends related to IEEE, Transmission & Distribution Industry, our customers, and design software.
? Strong understanding of manufacturing and cost drivers. Education and Experience:
? Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering
? 2-5 years’ progressive experience in a manufacturing/sales environment Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineer Reports to: Manager of Design Department: Design
