Injection Molding Process Tech - Shift Leader Job Description
Hours: 10:30pm – 7am (Sunday – Thursday)
Pay: $28.00
MUST be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
The Process Tech Shift Leader keeps the production machines functioning at the highest level of e?ciency to minimize risk and maximize productivity during his shift. He acts as a team leader to ensure sta? meet their potential, and that both equipment and team function at peak performance.
Operates plastic injection molding machines and other equipment to ensure production orders are executed in a safely manner, with the best quality and e?ciency.
Duties include: Operate plastic injection machines, mold setting, color changes, process trouble shooting, forklift operating, maintain clean work environment, product quality control, follow safety regulations, participate in production meetings, bring new ideas for continuous improvement.
Reports to: Production Manager
Shift Hours: 8 hours shift with 30 minutes lunch break Full time 40 Hours - Some OT weekends (average of 1 day per month)
Requirements:
3 years prior experience in the same role
Forklift experience
Stable work history
Problem solving and critical thinking
Ability to supervise and direct his shift employees
Good verbal communication skills and ability to keep written records of materials worked
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as needed
Ability to continuously use hands, arms and legs, and ability to move the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours, and to lift and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. repeatedly without physical restrictions
Ability to follow English written instructions and produce written records
Ability and willingness to follow directions and to work independently
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
