Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications.
 

Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the Supplier Quality functions for the company corporation, including Supplier Management, Failure Solving Process, PPAP approval, and Supplier Audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 The Supplier Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Supplier Evaluation

  • Audit and feasibility ranking of external suppliers worldwide.

  • Preparation of the information for the decision-making process in the sourcing board

• Supplier qualification and improvement

  • Managing new supplier implementation and supplier transfer with respect to quality for the company Corporation and The company AG

  • Negotiation and finalization of the quality agreement

  • Creation of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

  • Action definition and follow-up.

  • Managing and handling the necessities of and around the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

  • KPI management for supplier related Quality metrics

• Internal project responsibility

  • Participation and representation of the supplier quality in specific project team meetings

  • Managing the PPAP overview per project and coordinating between the suppliers and the related the company departments the achieving of the PPAP approval.

• Cross Functional Responsibilities

  • Supporting the teamwork in the cross-functional team responsibilities to reduce the overall failure rate and improve failure prevention.   

  • Lead failure-solving process for supplier-caused defects.

  • Global alignment with the company AG Supplier Quality team
     

 Supervisory Responsibilities:  Individual Contributor

 Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 25% depending on business needs.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – technical.

• Sufficient SAP skills that support the necessary coordination activities in SAP

• Minimum 3 years previous Quality Assurance background and supply management or purchasing experience.

• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer software (e.g., MS office)

• Ability to read drawings.

• Ability to use measuring equipment.

• Standard PPEs as facility requires- Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses, earplugs where required.
