The Accounting Manager Directs and coordinates activities of employees engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying financial information for the purpose of maintaining accurate accounting and statistical records.

• Supervises the Accounts Payable Administrator and Staff Accountant. Manages the Corporate Accounts Payable function.

• Communicate daily with supervisor and team members to resolve accounts payable, general accounting, and financial reporting issues.
  

Essential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

• Position requires a broad range of accounting knowledge, including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, SEC reporting and research on a variety of related subjects.
  

• The candidate should be familiar with requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and relevant FASB pronouncements; possess strong organizational and time management skills with attention to details; be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  

• Maintain interpersonal relationships through appropriate and concise communication, oral and written; and possess strong computer skills to include MS Office applications and ERP systems.

Education:

Bachelor s degree in business administration, accounting, financial management, or a closely related field

Experience:

Five to seven years of experience in managing fiscal operations

Licensure, Certification and/or Registration: None required/CPA Preferred
