Job Description

 

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Associate to support procurement operations by assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role will interact with vendors and internal departments and plays a key role in supporting smooth operational flow.

Must have 2+ years of recent purchasing experience from a manufacturing or distribution company

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Pay Rate:

  • $19 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment

  • Maintain accurate and organized purchase records and documentation

  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, track orders, and resolve issues

  • Support inventory control and maintain appropriate stock levels

  • Monitor deliveries to ensure items are received on time and in good condition

  • Review and verify purchase requisitions and purchase orders

  • Coordinate with internal departments on order status and requirements

  • Assist in maintaining vendor relationships and performance records

  • Follow company procurement policies and procedures

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1–2 years of purchasing or administrative experience in a similar role

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, GlobalShop, CloudSuite)

  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. if needed

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

  • Strong work ethic and good attendance are essential
