We are currently seeking a Purchasing Associate to support procurement operations by assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role will interact with vendors and internal departments and plays a key role in supporting smooth operational flow.
Must have 2+ years of recent purchasing experience from a manufacturing or distribution company
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Pay Rate:
$19 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment
Maintain accurate and organized purchase records and documentation
Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, track orders, and resolve issues
Support inventory control and maintain appropriate stock levels
Monitor deliveries to ensure items are received on time and in good condition
Review and verify purchase requisitions and purchase orders
Coordinate with internal departments on order status and requirements
Assist in maintaining vendor relationships and performance records
Follow company procurement policies and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
1–2 years of purchasing or administrative experience in a similar role
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, GlobalShop, CloudSuite)
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. if needed
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Strong work ethic and good attendance are essential
