Job Description

Company is near Fulton Industrial - Must have reliable transportation - Background check and drug screen will be required.

Must have 2+ years of Assembly experience (Millwork/Wood, Carpentry)

Must have experience with hand tools

Will be assembling cabinets and must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly

Must have reliable transportation to and from work (Attendance issues will NOT be tolerated- this is a temp to hire position)

Must be able to read blueprints

Must be able to pass any employment screening required for position

Steel toed boots required

$16-$19 per hour depending on experience in the industry

Cabinet Builders usually $20-$22 per hour depending on experience

Normal hours are 6am-230pm Monday-Friday

As they enter their busy times will be as followed as needed to handle work load

6am 4:30pm Monday Thursday

6am 2:30pm Friday

6am Noon or 2:30pm on Saturdays (some Saturdays)

Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assembles millwork components such as doors, base cabinets, and other items as required. Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and use of both hand and power tools. Common woodworking environment, drill guns, nail guns, tape measure on an assembly line.

  • Plans and implements the assembly process by reading and understanding set-up sheets, work orders, drawings or blueprints and gathers necessary materials and tools to complete order

  • Ensures that assembled items meet specific quality specifications; may propose process improvements in order to increase finished quality or efficiency of assembly processes

  • Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related production goals. This position is a fast pace assembly environment

  • Responds attentively to training from Leader, Supervisor or more senior assemblers in order to increase own knowledge of work processes

  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers.

  • Restock inventory and clean the shop on a daily basis or as directed by manager/supervisor

  • Able to adhere to the company s established standards of high quality and deadline driven schedules simultaneously.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must wear steel toe shoes, eye and ear protection while on the floor

  • Follow procedures in company handbook and other documents

  • Maintain professional attitude when approaching work assignments

  • Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks

  • Assists in developing timely solutions to problems

  • Maintain outstanding attendance

  • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety hand and power tools to assemble millwork products

  • Must be able to read a tape measure.

  • Manual dexterity

  • Must be able to work at fast, steady pace to meet goals.

  • Knowledge of safety procedures while performing assembly tasks

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

  • Ability to read and understand simple diagrams or blueprints

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.

Experience and Education Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions and physical requirements:
Working conditions are normal for a plant environment. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Use hands and fingers, able to bend, reach hand over shoulders, climb, crawl, push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
