• Sets up and operates drawing mills to draw wire to specific dimensions

• Creates material certifications

• Guides and feeds wire rod into machine

• Uses controls and drawing wheels to tighten down wire rod

• Responsible for adjusting two-rolls straightening machine and setting proper guide plates into two roll poilser

• Adjusts the CNC unit to polish and straighten the bar

• Adjusts the chamfer heads to the correct size bar

• Verifies product diameters

• Light duty day-to-day equipment maintenance

• Operates forklift

• Ensures all necessary work sheet/orders are filled out completely

• Order confirmation

• Labeling and returning material to the correct storage location

• Checking and recording all drawing dies associated with their drawing unit and recording data information in computers

Background: Previous Drawing Mill or CNC training or experience required, working knowledge of forklifts, cranes, tape measure, calipers and micrometers, user knowledge of SAP, ISO Quality Processing and OSHA Safety standards
