Job Overview:

 

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.

 

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH OKUMA CONTROLS

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday

7AM-5PM OR 8AM-6PM

 

Job Responsibilites:

 

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision parts.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining specifications.

  • Load raw materials and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate production.

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.

  • Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet required tolerances.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety protocols and company procedures.

  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to improve production processes.

  • Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required for machine setup and part handling.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or CNC certification preferred.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating CNC lathes.

  • Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming is a plus.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
