Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH OKUMA CONTROLS
Schedule: Monday-Friday
7AM-5PM OR 8AM-6PM
Job Responsibilites:
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining specifications.
Load raw materials and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate production.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet required tolerances.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety protocols and company procedures.
Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to improve production processes.
Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required for machine setup and part handling.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or CNC certification preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating CNC lathes.
Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming is a plus.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
