Large medical office in Greer is in the market for a CMA “Certified Medical Assistant”
POSITION SUMMARY:
Work with physician and two APP’s directly regarding rooming patients, patient messages, refill requests, and reading lab results. Triages patients accordingly and sends message to appropriate party. Responds within 24 hours to all messages and voicemails. Obtains pre-certification for medications that require it. Gives injections in office and educates patients on medications, treatments, health and wellness, and diagnostic tests as directed by physician. Ensures patient rooms are cleaned and sanitized after each patient is seen.
Hours: 8am-5pm (M-Thursday)
Hours: 8am-12noon ( Friday)
Pay: $16.00/$20.00 (Depends on Experience)
JOB DUTIES
• Perform quality nursing care by working directly with a physician in the office setting
• Record vital signs and update chart for physician
• Communicate accurately and efficiently with physician by providing all pertinent medical history and new problems necessary for patient care
• Responsible for triaging and prioritizing all patient emergency phone calls and sick phone calls
• Prepare electronic charts in advance for physician including updating all test results prior to visits, as well as managing physician scheduling
• Obtain per-certification of medications as required by insurance companies
• Provider patient education regarding medications, treatments, health and wellness, diagnostic tests, as directed by physician
• Inventory and order all clinical supplies
• Check clinical equipment and report any maintenance issues
• Sanitize each room after patients have been seen
• Travel between Greer and Greenville office per physician schedule
SKILLS REQUIRED
• CMA, LPN or RN graduate of a certified program
• Current BLS training
• Current SC nursing license
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Attention to detail and organization
