Global Concrete & Aggregate Company located in Conroe Tx, is currently conducting interviews for Production Technicians. All qualified candidates will work on a possible long term " Temp to Hire" basis upon completion of the necessary probationary period & reevaluation. The Production Technician is required to perform a variety of basic tasks within a aggregate & concrete plant environment. Upon completion of the required safety training coarse the technician will be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions and report any deviations from the norm that might impact production, quality or processing efficiencies. The successful candidate will have a proven safety record as well as a history of being a team player. Must be able to work without direct supervision and able to work flexible hours, weekends, and O.T. When required.
Essential Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
Validate the proper components and materials are used in testing.
Sample and test raw materials according to specification.
Calibrate, clean and maintain production tools and testing equipment.
Record and report test results to management.
Build and maintain relationships with plant employees and customers.
Conduct a complete before and end of the day safety inspection report.
Able to estimate weight when loading trucks either visually or grade, maintain stockpiles.
Load customer trucks in a safe and accurate manner
Communicate with customer truck drivers to ensure quality service
Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic
Responsible for lubrication of truck and performing minor repairs on equipment
Responsible for knowing aggregate products and scopes of product.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions.
High School Diploma | GED or equivalent.
Minimum 1-2 yrs. Previous production or aggregate construction experience in a stone quarry or related industry a plus.
Demonstrates basic math skills.
Solid computer skills preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Ability to learn computerized analysis equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be flexible to work days and nights, weekends, and overtime when required.
Dependability and proven work ethic.
Sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists, flexing or rotating with both wrists, use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, perform duties in all climates, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
