Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications.

 

Job Summary

 

The Credit Manager will oversee the daily functioning of the company’s Credit Management department by serving as an effective leader and mentor with the ability to hire, train and develop our collectors and credit analysts. The Credit Manager will liaise with accounting, sales, internal customer service, and multiple company power center locations. The ideal candidate must have a significant comprehension of Credit Management with the ability to manage complex credit-related transactions and effectively conduct account reconciliations. The ideal candidate must be a strategic and effective decision-maker with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced work environment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain all customer accounts

• Hire, train, and develop collectors and credit analysts

• Identify potential account risk factors and provide practical solutions

• Review and establish new credit applications

• Manage and monitor all collection activities

• Perform account reconciliations while maintaining files and updating records as required.

• Manage the status of delinquent accounts

• Conduct credit-related weekly and monthly reporting

• Perform credit hold releases

• Credit new account setups

• Perform credit tasks such as credit holds, credit card payments, and order releases as appropriate while adhering to company credit policies

• Coordinate with management and recommend improvement in the quality of the Company’s Credit department and provide operational support.

• Other duties as assigned

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role will have two direct reports.

 

Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 10% depending on business needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's or higher degree in any related field

5+ years of experience in Credit Management

5+ Years of Leadership & Management experience

Effective negotiation and dispute-resolution skills

Strong knowledge of utilizing Dun & Bradstreet

Strong knowledge of Basic SAP Skills (RECENT experience required)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products with a particular focus on intermediate/advanced Excel. (Significant experience with pivot tables and v-lookups, a plus)

• Excellent time management & multitasking skills with the ability to work on multiple credit-related tasks at once and complete them simultaneously while remaining calm under pressure.

• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through under tight timelines and pressured situations.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to solve credit-related problems or discrepancies in our company's records and find solutions quickly and efficiently.
