Dental Assistant Requirements:

-Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program

-Certificates in radiology, nitrous monitoring, and CPR.

-Comfort with technology as our office is fully digital and paperless.

-Reviews and records medical/dental history and vital signs for each patient

-Reviews daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments

-Stocks operator it s with necessary dental supplies

-Explains as necessary dental procedures to the patient when questions are asked

-Explains discharge/post-op care as needed, hands out post op instruction per protocol

-Makes post-op phone calls to patients

-Taking dental x-rays

-Placing topical medications

-Dental procedure isolation techniques

-Preparation of dental materials, cements, composite, impression materials, etc.

-Pouring impressions to make stone and plaster models

-Model trimming

-Fabricating custom impression trays

-Fabricating temporary crowns & bridges

-Denture, partial adjustments

-Inventory control, management and ordering
