Responsible for following die setup sheet, securing the tool in the press, press control and terminology, CAM functions/settings, and die protection.

6am-2:30pm (M-F) Pay: $18.00
2:30pm 11:00pm (M-F) Pay: $18.50
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Setup and secure die/tooling in presses and other machines as needed
Set up and hang coils for machines, and help run the coil into the die.
Work through any die or setup issues to ensure efficient production run.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and/or repair machine.
Assists maintenance dismantle defective machines and equipment and helps install new or repaired parts.
Initiates trouble shooting of die problems.
During change-over and downtime cleans and removes old/bad t-nuts in shaker bars on presses.
Ability to train associates on crane operation
Acts as a proxy utility resource as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent with 3 years die setup, maintenance or related experience.
Excellent, demonstrated mechanical skills.
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrates an understanding or ability to understand key setup procedures. (ie - coil loading procedure, straightener function, feeder function, shut height, program press controls)
Ability to troubleshoot production issues.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Good math skills; ability to calculate and comprehend necessary math concepts.
Ability to complete required paperwork through basic reading and writing skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to obtain an industrial powered lift truck license.
Ability to obtain an overhead crane license.
Mobility to climb up / down on powered lift trucks.
Mobility to climb up / down steps/ladders.
Able to twist to tighten clamps and move dies into position.
General knowledge of various metal stamping equipment.
