Seeking candidates who are interested in a temporary Dispatcher position. Our client is a leading global provider of freight forwarding and logistics services.

Job Summary:

Dispatching drivers for pickups and deliveries

Monitor and track driver activity

Ensure loads are picked up and delivered on time

Updating system with load info

Reporting detentions and any other issues that arise immediately

Work with 3PL's and shippers

Booking loads / negotiating rates

Customer service - answering phones / emails with tracking updates

Build relationships with drivers and coworkers

Qualifications include:

At least (1) year previous experience/background in freight management and dispatching semi truck drivers

Preferably have an existing customer base and relationships with customers.

Previous knowledge of freight movement and intermodal

Excellent communication, leadership skills and negotiation skills

Ability to multitask

Team player
