We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician to support a high-speed manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and safe plant operations. Ideal candidates are strong in electrical diagnostics and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems including PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and automated equipment
Diagnose issues in 24V control circuits, digital/analog systems, and power distribution systems
Perform preventive maintenance including inspections, calibrations, and component replacements
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic/pneumatic layouts
Install and wire 3-phase, single-phase, and DC motors according to code and schematic requirements
Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, ammeters, and other testing equipment
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and PM activities
Follow and enforce safety procedures including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and arc flash protocols
Coordinate with production leadership to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
Provide guidance and technical support to operators and team members
Qualifications
Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Strong ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and control circuits highly preferred
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Welding and fabrication experience a plus
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working at heights
Exposure to noise, moving machinery, heat, and industrial conditions
May work in confined spaces
Ability to operate or become certified on forklifts and lift equipment
Must wear required PPE including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and arc flash gear
Additional Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Must pass pre-employment assessment
Background check and drug screening required
