Conroe based Manufacturing facility known to be one of the #1 Leader s Worldwide in the production and distribution of aluminum products is currently interviewing for Electrical Manufacturing Maintenance Technician. All qualified candidates will work on a possible long term " Temp to Hire" basis upon completion of the necessary probationary period & reevaluation. The Electrical Technician is required to perform a variety of basic tasks within the plant manufacturing guidelines and plant environment. Ideal candidates must be flexible to work an overnight shift from 7: 00pm-7: 00am and O.T. When required.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required.
Performs various mechanical duties on machines and/or equipment needed for production in manufacturing facility.
Ensures all safety equipment, guards, and devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules.
Installs, maintains, or repairs equipment for the manufacturing of aluminum beverage cans.
Understands and follow blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks.
Uses a variety of mechanical tools including measuring and testing instruments, along with mechanical or electrical equipment.
Examines machines and/or equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
Dismantles and reassembles various machines and/or equipment.
Makes necessary adjustments to machines, conveying systems, and/or equipment for proper operation.
Troubleshoots any and all required areas of manufacturing facility.
Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
Operates metal lathes and performs welding and fabrication duties as required.
Informs supervisor of operational status of machines and/or equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
Follows SOP operating procedures.
Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications | Requirements
Education: High School Diploma | GED or equivalent
Must have at least 3yrs.+ Electrical Maintenance | Plant Manufacturing Experience.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to read, communicate, and understand procedures in English.
Read, understand, and follow blue print drawings and schematics.
Have experience with PLC s, pneumatic, hydraulic, air moving, and conveying systems.
Skilled in Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.
Experience in plasma & acetylene cutting.
Ability to test motors, rebuild and repair centrifugal pumps.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Working with high speed automated machines and equipment in a manufacturing plant. The plant is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skill to work in self-managed work teams. Industrial electrical experience is a huge plus.
