Equipment Technician III (Medium Mechanic) Greenville, SC (Temp/Hire)
Client is looking for someone that has some construction equipment repair experience.
This will include repairing of backhoe, skid steer, excavator, pipe machines, water pumpts, manlifts (scissor lift, boom lifts) Basicially, the equipment that would be on a construction job site.
Pay: $24.00 hr.
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Monday Friday); 30 minutes lunch 12:00pm 12:30pm
Equipment Technician (Medium Mechanic) needed to work on smaller types of equipment such as, welders, pipe machines, generators, benders, etc.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine adjustments, tests, inspections, installations, maintenance, and repairs to equipment in the shop; respond to field calls as needed
Safely load and unload equipment for transporting
Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, parts orders, and billings
Maintain an orderly work area
Communicate effectively with customers regarding general service needs
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
Adhere to and support clients Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
Other duties as assigned
Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out, lift 70 lbs., carry 50 lbs., and use a 10 lb. sledgehammer (or global weight equivalents)
Can operate a variety of heavy and light construction equipment safely
Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics, drive train, and diesel/gasoline engines
Thorough knowledge of all types and applications of equipment
