Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role supports the Norcross corporate office. Ensures the effective and consistent delivery of HR services in the areas of employee relations, benefits, recruiting, reporting, and analytics.
HR Generalist Responsibilities
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Process bi-weekly payroll.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
3-5 years of recruiting experience
At least one year of experience in labor relations and compliance
Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
High level of customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employee relations practices
Human resource information system (HRIS) knowledge, SuccessFactors and ADP Workforce experience preferred.
Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA) and the ability to appropriately spot employment risk issues
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Human resources certification (PHR or SPHR)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of HR practices and applicable federal/state employment laws/regulations. Experience with COBRA, FMLA, FLSA and Workers Compensation.
Knowledge and understanding of HR reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
High level of experience and skill with HRIS and payroll systems, and Excel
Experience in developing detailed analytics and dashboards.
Ability to organize, prioritize and plan work activities while using time efficiently and effectively.
Ability to adapt to a changing work environment while managing competing demands.

Office and warehouse/production environment
PPE Requirements
Standard PPEs as facility requires- Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses, earplugs where required
