PRODUCTION LEAD

Job Summary

A growing food manufacturing facility is seeking a Production Lead to support fast-paced daily operations and assist plant management with performance, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and a track record of motivating teams in a manufacturing setting.

This role involves coordinating production floor activity, training employees, ensuring safety and food compliance, and driving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a Safety-First culture and help eliminate food safety risks.

• Support environmental, health, and safety performance goals.

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations (OSHA, SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA).

• Lead and train production staff; model effective communication and leadership.

• Manage daily production operations and warehouse coordination.

• Communicate and resolve urgent operational issues effectively.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.

• Prepare daily reports and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a food or manufacturing environment

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)

• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel

• Willingness to work 40–65 hours per week, including some Saturdays

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

• Mechanically inclined (preferred)

• Skilled in team building and conflict resolution

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and make effective decisions

• Physically able to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs
