Job Description

Responsible for making quality production parts safely by running one or multiple pieces of production equipment. Production equipment may include: Break Presses, Stamping Presses, Expanders, CTL, Lasers, Turret Presses, Shears, Tube Forming Equipment and Slitters

Responsibilities

Responsible for making quality production parts safely by running one or multiple pieces of production equipment

Perform set up and machine operations duties as required in a safe manner

Read and interpret drawings and routings to determine requirements such as size of material, type of material and the quantity to be made

Involves setting stops, making adjustments to maintain setups to make quality parts

Parts should be checked on previous operations during present operation; such as burrs, missing holes or any other defects

Routing packets should be filled out complete, with the inspection checklist completed and included

The move ticket completely filled out and attached to load

Required to report hours and production quantities in the applicable system

Use the safest procedure for handling and stacking material and moving the material with a cart, hand truck or forklift as necessary

Perform quality inspections and tracking of material utilizing appropriate measuring instruments and tools

Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to

Comply with all health and safety procedures

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

High level of mechanical aptitude required

Understanding of quality requirement and of ISO 9001:2015 procedures

Knowledge of department procedures and applicable system transactions

Able to read and understand blueprints, diagrams and work instructions

Knowledge of company policies, shop and safety rules

Knowledge on the care and use of inspection devices and tools

Perform basic shop floor mathematics

Exceptional attention to details

Strong motivation, high energy and ability to work independently or with a team

As required, ability to perform repetitive bending, kneeling, and lift cumbersome and or heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
