Working Conditions:
Work in a production floor setting.
Long periods of standing required.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Back-and-forth arm motions lifting corrugated material.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow and support safety requirements within the facility.
Assist with machine cleaning and zone housekeeping procedures for the assigned work area.
Maximize machine utilization by adhering to standards of operation.
Strive to generate quality production.
Assist with machine set-up, start-up, operation, and shut down tasks under direction of the Machine Operator.
Support and adhere to required, documented and defined procedures and work instructions including, but not limited to: food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE as designated.
Assist with mounting printing plates.
Adjust cutting die and print plate(s) impression and registration, as instructed by the Machine Operator.
Assist in inspection for quality, correct size, board grade and caliper.
Observe sheets during run for defects such as damage, warp, delam, short liner, etc. and notify Machine Operator immediately.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic mechanical, proof-reading and math skills.
Participate in any requested or required training.
Follow precise instructions.
Develop corrugated industry knowledge.
Self-starter with ambition to take on additional responsibilities.
Flexible hours to accomplish required objectives.
High school education or equivalent, previous corrugated experience preferred.
