Job Description: Shift Technician - Machine, Tools, and Equipment: Scissor Lift, Ladders – Spartanburg, SC
WORK SCHEDULE: 4:00pm – 12:30am Monday – Friday with some scheduled weekends – primary schedule. Note, must be available to cover plant shutdown work (holidays, weekends, call back, etc.) as needed.
Pay Rate: $25.06 - $28.37 (Depends on Experience)
General description of the skill: Work history showing ability to be self-managed over a range of job tasks. Willingness to work in elevated areas (scissor lift / ladders) and in all weather conditions. Must have breakdown repair experience. Able to learn new topics quickly and retain information to apply to future problems. Prior electrical training is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Equipment maintenance
Respond to engineering calls & work orders on all production equipment.
Work with operators to understand machine issue and address root cause.
Perform daily mini-PMs on equipment.
Notify team lead of any issues that will cause extended downtime.
Training
Primary training will be completed on 1st & 2nd shift with other technicians.
Sage directed on-line classes (if necessary) to certify on electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to learn quickly across multiple pieces of equipment.
Able to apply knowledge of one piece of equipment to fix breakdowns on different equipment.
Non-equipment assignments
Maintain housekeeping of work areas.
Help with project work as assigned.
Investigate root cause of common breakdowns and implement long term countermeasures.
General
Any tasks deemed necessary by plant management for the success of Cotton Blossom.
Requirements and qualifications:
Must comply with Company rules, including but not limited to safety, attendance, and other job specifications.
Must submit to and pass drug screening test.
Must conform to all Sage Automotive and Business Policies.
Must actively participate in all aspects of Sage Automotive Interiors Safety program as it applies at the plant(s) and office(s) including attending weekly subcommittee and monthly plant meetings and submitting a monthly Nets card, and Weekly T- Card.
Good organizational and safety skills.
A proven record of being dependable and reliable.
Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
Attend daily team meeting and other meetings as assigned.
