Maintenance Technician

Location: Lakewood, GA

Hours: 6am-2:30pm

Pay: $21

 ** Industrial Maintenance**

Not Residential

 

Job Overview:

  • Install, repair, overhaul, and maintain basic electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/ or electro-mechanical machinery and equipment.

  • Observe and test operation of electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mechanical devices in order to evaluate and identify operating problems.

  • Install and evaluate replacement components in order to affect in-house repairs and/or modify machinery and equipment to improve efficiency.

  • Dismantle equipment and machinery in order to identify, remove, repair and/or replace damaged or deteriorated components, and reassemble equipment.

  • Maintain maintenance logs and other required documentation.

  • Develop additional technical skills and knowledge of electro-mechanical, electrical. Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical principles, maintenance and repair practices

  • Develop familiarity with ergonomics and production and assembly processes in order to evaluate process efficiency and develop modifications to improve efficiency.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2 year certificate from an applicable technical school in electricity or mechanics

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery

  • Must have working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts and operating safely.

  • Basic operating knowledge of relay and programmable controllers for mechanical equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, diagrams, schematics, engineering specifications and operating instructions

  • Demonstrates ability to use hand or power tools commonly used in the electrical and mechanical trades
