Material Handler WITH Plastic Mold Injection Experience on 1st shift
Located in Williamston, SC
Pay will start at $10.00 and will increase to $12.50 per hour after training.
7am 3: 30pm Monday - Friday with overtime on Saturdays as needed
Responsible for the handling of all raw and finished materials required for efficient production.
Must understand the part numbering system to ensure accurate use of materials and must apply proper handling requirements for all materials.
Must define and support the keeping of materials in their proper locations.
Must properly handle materials in ways that allow clean and safe work environments.
Required to support production scheduling with staging of required materials for use.
Must maintain clean and safe work area at all times. Must understand and follow all safety rules and requirements.
Must maintain a responsible attendance record at all times.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Willingness to enter a production environment with aspirations toward achieving successful results. Continuous improvement and a positive outlook that demonstrates a competent ability to achieve defined goals.
Any additional new training as required by the Production Manager.
High school diploma, GED
Four to six months previous work experience within a light manufacturing business environment.
Proficient use of computers.
Language Skills Requirements
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates in a professional manner.
Ability to speak effectively and professionally with associates.
Reasonable Skills Requirements
Willingness and enthusiasm to apply proven concepts and decision making regarding all aspects of plastic part production and assembly.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to understand process flow in production environment.
Ability to proactively participate in problem solving activities.
Ability to apply logic and carry out instructions in written or oral form.
Maintain Hi-Lo license.
Standard physical lifting, movement and exertion prerequisites as defined by MIOSHA and the US department of Labor.
