This position is for an Electro Mechanical Assembler and will require individuals to perform start to finish assembly of the packaging equipment. Candidates will have to assemble off of a blueprint using hand and power tools along with other equipment to assemble both mechanically along with electrically from start to finish. The blueprint reading will include identifying dimensions, material type, and utilizing appropriate symbols.
The job description for an Electrical Assembler or Panel Builder and Mechanical Machine Assembler are very similar since they will cross over at certain points. This is not a cell assembly, the equipment is set up in the shop and it's large so they will be going to whatever part of the equipment that their task is located.
The job description for a Mechanical Assembler
Read, interpret, and understand Assembly Drawings including materials, views, assembly order and balloon drawings.
Read, interpret, and understand Detail Drawings including length, tolerances, material type, and finish.
Independently determine hardware required for assembly build.
Utilizing drawings plan assembly and build sequence.
Build assemblies, sub-assemblies, segments of machines and construct/assist in constructing standalone machines and/or large integrated systems.
Properly utilize a variety of power and hand tools for assembly including wrenches, allen keys, power drill, taps and tap drills, hammer, screwdrivers, etc.
Troubleshoot and identify errors before build.
