We have an immediate opening for a Jr. Entry Level Quality Control Engineer
Execute the necessary activities for Quality Control of products procured or manufactured and the Continuous improvement of production processes thru the use of Quality tools and lean manufacturing best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities and duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops and implements Corrective Actions for product defects found during the process.
Develops, implements and maintains basic process documentation such as Process Flow Charts, Control plans, PFMEAs, Product inspection sheets, Standard work instructions and Packaging instructions.
Performs the training of production personnel on Quality controls, work procedures and packaging specifications.
Performs Layered Process audits and implements corrective actions when the outputs are non-conforming to the established procedures, controls or specifications.
Performs ISO9001 internal audits following the annual internal audit schedule.
Performs Safety audits on production floor.
Responsible to comply with the company EHS rules and enforce them with employees if a safety violation is observed.
Bachelor s degree in a technical field.
Quality Engineer certification is desirable.
Lean six sigma yellow belt or higher
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of 7 Quality basic tools, core tools. Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 a plus.
Knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Understanding of Production Parts Approval Process.
Ability to interpret customer quality requirements.
Knowledge of Manufacturing ERP systems, SAP is desirable.
