Must have recent experience as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary in Criminal Law

 

$16.00-$20 per hour depending on experience

 

Must have 1 year as a paralegal and 3+ years of Customer Service experience

830am-5pm Monday-Friday

Are you an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal looking for an exciting opportunity in the area? Our small, dynamic criminal defense law firm is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team!

As a Legal Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our firm, providing comprehensive support to our legal professional. Your expertise in drafting and proofreading legal documents, managing case files, and maintaining accurate records will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft and proofread legal documents

- E-File legal documents

- File and organize legal documents

- Assist with case management

- Communicate with clients professionally and promptly- Help prepare for court hearings

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of experience with E-filing

- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures

- Proficiency in drafting legal documents

?? Excellent organizational and time management skills

?? Attention to detail and accuracy

?? Strong written and verbal communication skills

?? Familiarity with legal software and technology

?? Ability to work independently and collaboratively

?? Experience with case management systems preferred

?? Friendly phone demeanor and conflict de-escalation skills

?? Comfortable working with Apple computers
