Maintenance Manager needed with experience within the Plastic Injection Mold Industry
Hours are Monday - Friday 7am - 3: 30pm with some Saturdays as needed
Located in Williamston, SC
Candidate will be responsible for managing and exercising functional authority for planning, scheduling, organization, and control of assigned maintenance tasks. Provide direct assistance to fellow employees involved with the mold and production manufacturing effort including the coordination of all related repairs, scheduled maintenance requirements, scheduling of individual mold finishing operations to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Utilize the Weekly Labor Schedule, the Master Maintenance Schedule, and instructions from management to meet all internal timelines.
Develop sound approach, planning, and execution of all assignments to meet or exceed internal productivity and quality requirements and meet established goals for quoted man hours.
Oversee the quality systems in place, throughout the facility, to achieve product quality that meet or exceed specific internal standards.
Coordinate activities concerned with technical issues, scheduling, and resolving manufacturing product, tool and equipment problems.
Follow and maintain systems to promote continuous improvement, manufacturing efficiencies and quality product.
Must maintain clean and safe work area at all times. Must understand and follow all safety rules and requirements.
Must maintain a responsible attendance record at all times.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Active participation toward a four-year certified Technical Apprenticeship training and continuous improvement that demonstrates a competent ability to effectively address all current maintenance issues. Or Associate s degree in management or a minimum of six years experience and training in a related plastics manufacturing field.
Proficient use of personal computers and computer operation within a network environment.
Proficient use of all standard shop related equipment and measuring devices as deemed essential by management.
Any additional training as deemed essential by management.
Language Skills Requirements
Ability to interpret all manners of designs, layouts, line-ups, detail drawings, stock lists, and other machine construction documents effectively.
Ability to interpret and write documents effectively.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates in a professional manner.
Ability to speak effectively and professionally with associates.
Reasonable Skills Requirements
Ability to apply proven concepts and decision making regarding all aspects of tool and equipment maintenance operation and construction.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and apply concepts of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Ability to understand process flow in production environment.
Ability to proactively participate in problem solving activities.
Ability to apply logic and carry out instructions in written or oral form.
Standard physical lifting, movement and exertion prerequisites as defined by OSHA and the US Department of Labor.
Drug Screen, background check and reliable transportation are required.
