SUMMARY Production Supervisor/Williamston, SC
Hours: 7am-5pm (Monday Friday)
Pay: $19/$21 (Depends on experience)
Supervises and coordinates the activities of production employees and production support personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets the production schedule to assign employee duties and achieve production goals.
Recommends measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Troubleshoots and performs tasks to maintain and set up tools and equipment.
Recommends measures to improve efficiency through facility and equipment upgrades and employee development.
Analyzes and assists employees to resolve any work-related problems, issues corrective action as needed.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
Verifies and approves time and attendance and approves vacation requests for direct reports.
Performs annual employee reviews.
Monitors employees to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Member of the safety committee and performs safety related duties and audits.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities.
Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel and Production Manager.
Ability to train direct reports on their required duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership to team members.
Ensures team members are properly trained. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of team.
Develops and maintains a cohesive team; works with appropriate personnel to resolve issues of conflict.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school education with 2 years manufacturing related experience or equivalent.
Leadership skills. Ability to direct, coordinate and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
Problem solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP/MRP systems.
Interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to move up to 35 pounds.
Ability to obtain an industrial powered lift truck license.
Ability to obtain an industrial Overhead Crane license .
