Construction Superintendent – Commercial/Industrial

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial Construction Superintendent to oversee multi-million-dollar construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial construction, excellent leadership abilities, and proven success managing subcontractors, schedules, and on-site activities.
This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality project execution, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating all field operations to keep projects on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain project schedules and coordinate tasks to meet deadlines and budget goals.
Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
Manage daily on-site construction activities for commercial and industrial projects.
Plan, organize, and control project operations to ensure successful completion.
Team & Subcontractor Management
Supervise, coordinate, and monitor subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
Hold subcontractors accountable to timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Foster a positive, productive work environment and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce and maintain safe, secure, and healthy jobsite conditions.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
Conduct safety meetings and document jobsite safety measures.
Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owners to facilitate project progress.
Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to avoid delays or cost increases.
Qualifications
Experience as a Superintendent in commercial or industrial construction.
Proven experience with multi-million-dollar projects.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, project scheduling, and jobsite management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, etc.).
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
