QMS Final inspection
Monday-Friday 7am-330pm
$15 per hour
Drug test required
Must be reliable (no attendance issues)
Must have reliable transportation as the company does have multiple locations locally
Job Summary:
The QMS Final Inspector is responsible for performing final inspections on products or components to ensure they meet all internal and customer quality standards before shipment. This role plays a key part in the Quality Management System (QMS), verifying compliance with regulatory and customer specifications and maintaining traceable inspection records.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform final visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of finished products.
Verify product conformity to drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
Document inspection results accurately using appropriate forms, databases, or software.
Approve or reject finished products and communicate findings to appropriate departments.
Ensure traceability of inspected products and maintain inspection records per QMS requirements.
Identify nonconformities and initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) when necessary.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
Follow and enforce company quality policies, procedures, and ISO 9001 (or AS9100/IATF 16949/etc.) standards.
Maintain calibration status of inspection equipment and use calibrated tools properly.
Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities.
Support training and mentoring of junior inspectors, if applicable.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a regulated or ISO-certified environment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions within scope of responsibility.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP/QMS software).
