Job Summary:

The QMS Final Inspector is responsible for performing final inspections on products or components to ensure they meet all internal and customer quality standards before shipment. This role plays a key part in the Quality Management System (QMS), verifying compliance with regulatory and customer specifications and maintaining traceable inspection records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform final visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of finished products.

• Verify product conformity to drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.

• Document inspection results accurately using appropriate forms, databases, or software.

• Approve or reject finished products and communicate findings to appropriate departments.

• Ensure traceability of inspected products and maintain inspection records per QMS requirements.

• Identify nonconformities and initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) when necessary.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to resolve quality issues.

• Follow and enforce company quality policies, procedures, and ISO 9001 (or AS9100/IATF 16949/etc.) standards.

• Maintain calibration status of inspection equipment and use calibrated tools properly.

• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities.

• Support training and mentoring of junior inspectors, if applicable.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a regulated or ISO-certified environment.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions within scope of responsibility.

• Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP/QMS software).
