Quality Inspector: The Quality Inspector manages incoming material, work-in-process, and finished part Quality by testing,inspecting, and approving/rejecting incoming materials, work-in-process parts, and finished parts. He/she contains defective parts, preventing them from reaching our customers. The Quality Inspectors helps troubleshoot Quality concerns on the shift, helping to resolve issues and protecting the customer.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
Conducts lab testing (dimensional, functional, visual) against specifications.
-Supplies accurate data to manufacturing for troubleshooting.
-Collects applicable information for product traceability.
-Reads and interprets Part Specifications, Quality Plans and Blue Print. Uses measuring equipment such as dimensional analyzer (CMM, OGP), Calipers, Micrometers, and Torque meter to perform visual and functional inspection of product.
-Inspects, releases and/or rejects Work In Process, Finished Goods, and incoming raw materials based on visual and functional inspection findings.
-Continuously monitors rework of Non-conformance product.
-Can complete CoA and CoC for customers when necessary.
Contains defective parts, preventing them from reaching the customers.
- Backtracks when defect started.
- Evaluates problems and makes initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervision.
- Writes non-conformance reports.
- Assists in root-cause analysis (8D) to solve internal/external quality problems.
Maintains record of job execution and prepares test reports and other documents.
-Maintains open communication among departments.
-Writes shift reports on a daily basis for management review.
-Uses quality software (InfinityQS) to create and analyze data and generate reports.
-Monitors lab equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
Education/Technical/Required Skills:
-High School Diploma
-Must be fluent in English, Basic Spanish
-Ability to read Drawings, specifications, use lab instruments, competent in math and science
-Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Skills:
Familiar with Quality tools, statistics. |
-Similar Manufacturing position- Minimum 3 years
-Injection Molding experience- Minimum 3 years
12 hour rotating days on and off 2,3,2
Night Shift: 6:00 pm -6:00 am
