Manufacturing Client in Duncan is in the market for a Senior Accountant:
Sr Accountant – $80-$90K+/- DOE; doesn’t want to discount anyone if experienced and wanting more $ but would need all the requirements; this will be a DH; they will accept someone with 5 yrs exp but needs - mfg exp, cost exp, financial analysis, reporting, excel, day to day activities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Additional work time will be required, as deemed necessary by management, but particularly during month, quarter and year-end close.

Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for completing data entry, preparing computations, analyses and reports relating to fiscal management systems within the company. Duties involve a large variety of accounting functions and reports.
Essential Functions

Cost Accounting - Check all data on labor and material costs, manufacturing expense items, inventory, work-in-progress and finished goods for accuracy and agreement to standard procedures and sub-ledgers. Investigate and determine cause of cost variations. Assist with physical count of stock and oversee the reporting and adjustment process to ensure that internal controls are followed
Financial Analysis, preparing reports and recommendations for management. Analyze past and present financial records to forecast future financial position and budgetary requirements.
Prepare and review worksheets for reconciling & closing the general ledger. Post journal entries as needed for reconciling and correcting general ledger accounts along with other month-end closing activities
Prepare Financial Reports to include consolidating reports to Headquarters and statistical reports at required intervals.
Monitor and evaluate transactions for compliance with prescribed company procedures and sound accounting practices.
Participate in Fixed Asset Acquisition Planning, Safeguarding and Management, Depreciation and Disposal.
Support VP Finance by preparing data to complete quarterly and annual income tax calculations, annual Transfer Pricing Report, and Annual Budget and rolling forecasts.
Review and/or perform Accounts Payable, Receivable and Banking Transactions.
Perform credit checks on potential customer(s), evaluate results and create customer account with respective terms. Prepare customer reminders and follow up on collections, if necessary.
Vet prospective vendor documentation, verify required information and create vendor account.
Compile data for quarterly sales/use tax and prepare returns.

Work Environment
This position primarily operates in a clerical, office setting. The performance of this position will however require exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and/or protective footwear.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role, however, this role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and filing cabinets. This position will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and walk or stand as necessary. Walking, standing, bending, and lifting in manufacturing areas will also be required as necessary.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Ten (10) years manufacturing / cost accounting experience
Proficiency with ERP Software, Consolidation Reporting, Microsoft Office; emphasis on Excel
Solid grasp of International Financial Reporting Standards and Standard Internal Control Procedures
Preferred Education and Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Navision a plus
International Business background and multicultural environment exposure helpful
