Senior Buyer -- $23.18/Hour
As a member of the Purchasing team, the roles and responsibilities of the Senior Buyer will be to work closely with suppliers to ensure accurate processing of orders and timely delivery of merchandise. This position requires proactively scoping, initiating and leading cost efficiency projects in conjunction with functional business stakeholders including Manufacturing, Facilities, Engineering, Distribution, and other areas of spend related to Operations and Product Development. As a Senior team member, the expectation of working with others and proactively providing input for team improvements is expected.
A Bachelor s degree and/or equivalent five to eight years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment required. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification is preferred.
Proven project management, procurement, and inventory skills.
Strong experience in project, change and category management.
Experience with evaluating supplier market trends.
Ability to work successfully in a national and international team environment, ensuring proactive alignment with cross-divisional and global teams in a complex matrix.
Ability to create well-structured, professional presentations, reports and business correspondences.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
Proven negotiation and supplier management skills as well as experience in the drafting and management of contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills in conjunction with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Experience with measuring supplier performance via performance metrics (e.G., scorecard, performance metrics, and key performance indicators).
