Job Description
Service Technician – Greer, SC
Hours: 5am-3:30pm (Monday – Thursday)
Pay Range: $27-$35 (Depends on Experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Refurbish gearboxes according to drawings and ensuring that client achieves its corporate objectives for service and customer satisfaction doing quality work in a professional and timely manner.
Assist with disassembly and inspection.
Determine all damage to gear box and components needed to be replaced.
Obtain all information possible to use in report.
Shipping and Receiving responsibilities.
Preform field service work as required to meet customer requirements.
Ability to perform and supervise on-site work.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner to customers.
Assist in job scheduling with Workshop Manager.
Coordinate shop supplies with Workshop Manager.
Coordinate tools and equipment maintenance with Workshop Manager.
Assist with general shop cleaning.
Assist with painting of gear units and components.
Maintain a professional attitude in-house and off site.
REPORTING
Workshop Manager.
Managing Director.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Mechanical Background.
Grade 12 and/or 5 years work experience.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
New employee’s induction training (form F_7.2_10).
Customer specific systems training.
Customer specific product training.
Gear failure analysis.
Vibration analysis.
Bearing and seal installation training.
Biannual forklift & overhead crane training.
Annual safety training.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Machining knowledge.
Ability to use precision measuring tools.
Organized.
Self-Starter.
Work independently or as a team player.
Eye for detail.
Knowledge of assembly and machining print reading.
Troubleshooting Knowledge.
