SHIPPING / RECEIVING – client located in Greenville/Donaldson Center Area
Hours: 7am-4:30pm (M-F)
Pay Range: $18/$20
IMPORTANT PART OF JOB:
The Shipping/Receiving position REQUIRES CHEMICAL TANKER LOADING AND UNLOADING EXPERIENCE - Someone for this position would have to know how to connect hoses to trucks / and to tanks and know how to use air / nitrogen to blow the material out of the tanker into on-site tanks and totes. This is about 70 - 80% of what the person in this position will be doing - They would have to do this wearing proper PPE ~ sometimes full tyvek suits / respirator, face shield, safety glasses, etc......

Job Overview
The Shipping / Receiving associate will work directly with the Logistics Manager to ensure that product shipped and received accurately and in a timely manner.
General Responsibilities:
RECEIVING
Off-loading of trucks / tankers.
Ensures that proper documentation is obtained from carriers and have the lab sign off on COA’s (to make sure product meets our requirements) prior to unloading.
Apply Acceptance stickers subject to lab approval
Turn all paperwork in to purchasing department daily for posting.
SHIPPING
Ship orders in accordance with shipping documents (complete Inspection form for each shipment)
Stage orders the day prior to shipping whenever possible.
Keep shipping area clean and organized.
Staging area cleared daily in preparation of next day’s shipments.
GENERAL
Samples brought to lab daily, call for dumpster pickup, crush scrap drums
Moving product to proper storage locations
Tankers clean and ready the day before off-loading.
Work with logistics / purchasing / sales / logistics
Sweeping and cleaning of floors, walls, racks, tank farm dikes, parking lot, etc.
Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.
Attends training programs as designated.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Experience/Knowledge:
3 or more years of related experience.
Working knowledge of loading and unloading TANKERS
Skills/Aptitude:
Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
Ability to maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well alone and in a team.
