Accounts Payable Specialist – Direct Hire – Greenville, SC
Hours: 8:30am – 5pm (M-F)
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.50 (Depends on Experience)
Summary:
Full responsibility of assisting the Controller of the company with day-to-day accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial operations
Job Responsibilities:
All duties of Accounts Payable to include reconciliation of payables to purchase orders and entering invoices to system.
Maintaining and scheduling all payables on a weekly basis, and processing/submitting payments to vendors. Reconciliation of all credit cards statements
Maintaining accurate and organized records by creating and posting to the general ledger.
Collect and maintain W9 forms and Certificate of Insurance from Vendors.
Prepare and submit daily reports of all A/P transactions, daily bank balances, and cash receipts.
Ability to maintain accrual accounts and depreciation schedules.
Assist with month end closing as needed.
IFTA and Sales and Use taxes
Collections and forecasting revenues.
Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Assist Controller with coordinating audit/ reviews and preparing necessary documentation.
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in accounting with 3 years minimum experience. May also consider 5+ years’ experience in this position without degree.
Office 365 software to include excel with expert knowledge of creating formulas. Proactive and Independent.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of all accounting functions.
Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, GEAC, TMC or other networking accounting software tracking job cost.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
