$21-$23/HR

Responsibilities:

• Ability to lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and other tools and techniques

• Welding stainless steel and mild steel components and assemblies using late model weld equipment

• Observing tests on welded surfaces such as hydrostatic and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications

• Inspecting grooves, angles, seams, and gap allowances using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments

• Ability to use all forms of hand, air, and electric tools during the performance of duties

• Ability to weld components in flat or vertical positions

• Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations

• Determining required equipment and welding method applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques

Qualifications:

• TIG welding a plus

• Ability to apply knowledge of welding machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

• Ability to apply knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of complex weldments and pressurized tanks

• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. MIG Welding

• Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to apply required welding process
