CHASE Professionals is actively recruiting for multiple opportunities with a metal stamping manufacturer in South Charlotte, NC.
MIG/TIG Welders needed to create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols). Inspect welds for accuracy. Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel. Change wire, welding, as needed. Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use. Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by Quality standards. Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required. Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
Welding Robotic Technicians needed to maintain production on multiple robotic MIG welding cells. Program robots to produce new stampings or weldments; this includes the development of optimum weld parameters to meet customer requirements. Complete first piece inspections, perform all quality control inspections using the proper calibrated measuring devices correctly and completes quality records. Read and interpret blueprints. Initiate action to prevent non-conformances; this includes shutting equipment down, when necessary. Clean and maintain robotics area. Complete the appropriate robotic setup sheets, safety sheets, and preventive maintenance documentation accurately and completely. Routinely create backups of all robotic programs. Maintain control of robot s Tool Center Point (TCP). Other duties as assigned.
Multiple positions available on 1 st and 2 nd shift
1 st shift hours: 7am-4: 30pm Monday-Friday
2 nd shift hours: 4pm to 12: 30am Monday-Friday
Pay: $14-$20/HR (DOE)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Measure and cut pipe and steel materials to correct dimensions using horizontal band-saws and torches
Prep materials for welding using various power tools
Weld metals using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes and equipment
Knowledgeable of welding quality requirements and able to inspect welds relative to standard acceptance criteria
Adhere to safety rules and procedures
Perform work effectively and efficiently
Oversee and directs Welding Helpers in performing above tasks
Cooperatively work with others
Experience in MIG and TIG welding highly preferred.
Experience in welding various metals, primarily steel
Ability to use measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Basic knowledge of reading blue prints and work instructions.
Robotic welder programming experience.
