Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to set up and operate slitting machines; to cut film to specified widths, lengths and diameters in a way that meets or exceeds standards for safety, quality and productivity.

Job Duties:

• Installs and aligns shear or razor blades for slitting feedstock materials

• Starts machine, adjusts blade and controls, using wrenches, rulers, gauges, templates or other tools, and monitors operation

• Tests and adjusts settings as required for producing according to specification

• Selects, cleans, and installs spacers, lay-on bars, sleeves, and blades to set machine up to run in conformance to specifications

• Reads production schedule, customer specification, and other documents to determine set up or adjustment of equipment

• Threads feedstock from reel through slitter and secures on rewinder

• Observes machine operation and examines rolls for flatness, holes, surface and other defects

• Measures dimensions of rolls using tape measure, gauge, template, ruler and square, for conformance to specification

• Performs checks at each designated quality checkpoint

• Performs scheduled cleaning responsibilities and documentation required for food safety

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prefer previous work experience, specifically machine operation, in manufacturing environment

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality standards, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture of product

Receiving Clerk / Crane Operator

The Receiving Clerk checks all coils that enter the site. Once quality is confirmed, they release the coils for production via the ERP system. The Receiving Clerk operates the overhead crane to unload coils and provide production with necessary goods.

The Receiving Clerk receives from production colleagues the production order to follow according to priority, as well as oral and/or written instructions recorded in SharePoint. They also receive the reception planning from the administrative receptionist and tasks from supervisors.

- Follows the ERP (which indicates which coil must be placed on which machine)

- Positions coils on the carousel

- Unloads coil trucks

- Stacks coils by type and supplier in designated locations

NATURE OF WORK

Under the general supervision of the Operations Services Manager, the Maintenance Technician will serve as one of the persons responsible for the maintenance and daily operation of both the interior & exterior of Phoenix Center facilities, including but not limited to; HVAC & plumbing, minor carpentry repairs, sheetrock repair/replacement, general building maintenance, painting, vehicle preventative maintenance and other maintenance tasks as assigned. JOB DUTIES

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising operations to ensure production is operating in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Responsible for productions schedules and posting of daily work assignments based upon production needs and individual strengths. Must be shop floor orientated and provide “hands-on” product/process support for all reports on a daily basis. This individual will be the driver behind product/process safety, quality, delivery and morale. Ensures that plant maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment through implementation and support of all aspects of 5S and OPEX initiative.
Maintain conformance with Company policies, work rules and regulations by coaching employees and/or initiating disciplinary actions as required.
Oversee a team of 30+ direct reports

Qualifications

2-5 years steel fabrication background with hands-on experience in a steel environment.
At least 5 years Supervisor experience in manufacturing steel industry
Ability to multitask and prioritize work duties.
A proven track record applying Lean Manufacturing techniques
Ability to work well under pressure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English other languages is a plus
Demonstrates strong leadership, motivation, and supervisory qualities.

Perform set-up of Straightener to assure hold down cables and roller supports are located correctly for varying sizes of tubes.

Maintain all equipment is designated area to assure proper working condition at all times.
Perform regular preventative maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas.
