• Make decisions for length of burnishing time to obtain proper quality and size of tube.

• Determine minimum quality acceptable from visual inspection of the high frequency resistance seam weld on each tube.

• Make daily decisions regarding the straightness, length, and cut quality of tubes, relative to specifications.

• Continual visual inspection of tubes to assure an acceptable level of quality is maintained according to specifications.

• Inspect for and remove scarfing left in the tube from the Blowout process.

• Use pneumatic powered buffer to remove rust, mill scale, and other contamination from the welded seams to enable inspection of the seam.

• Performs close visual inspection of the welded seams to discover any discontinuities in the welds and any other defects.

• Use pneumatic powered grinder to grind all welds flush.

• Perform set-up of Straightener to assure hold down cables and roller supports are located correctly for varying sizes of tubes.

• Inspect tubes for straightness; straighten as necessary, to produce tubes meeting specifications and industry standards.

• Maintain all equipment is designated area to assure proper working condition at all times.

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas.

• Notify Supervisor and/or Lead Person when assistance is required for maintenance and/or other repairs that are beyond his/her capabilities.

• Assist Maintenance personnel on performing maintenance and repair work as needed.

• Assist set-up of other production equipment as directed by Lead Person.

Education & Experience:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Determine method of shipment

• Proper record keeping including shipping documents and customer labels

• Collect samples from production lines for the sample library and properly store samples in the sample room or cold room as needed.

• Perform all related duties required for completing sample request in a timely fashion including but not limited to filling, labeling, packing and wrapping.

• Dump expired bottles daily in order to keep the cart/area clean

• Stock lab/ shipping supplies (Glass Bottles, Plastic Containers, Caps, Boxes, etc..)

• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Follow all Safety, GMP’s and Hazmat rules

• Remove expired goods on a daily basis

• Counting specific shelves based on cycle count report

• Refill and stock raw materials taken from production for the labs

• Deduct daily quantities of materials taken from production

• File shipping paperwork daily or upon request

• Place finished products on shelf in proper location after its inventoried.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and/or Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Role Responsibility

Coordinate shift resources daily to ensure the provision of maintenance within the manufacturing departments.

Effectively use maintenance connection to set and communicate departmental tasks ensuring that targets are met, and customer expectations are managed accordingly, ensuring maintenance connection is kept up to date.

Monitor usage & Manage stock levels of critical spares, tooling, and Items for repair.

Organize project work ensuring team are work effectively to complete tasks from start to finish

In conjunction with Engineers/Technicians, ensure maintenance on plant machinery and equipment is carried out to agreed standards and within deadlines.

Provide technical advice in troubleshooting and problem-solving situations and technical support on projects as required

Facilitate and coordinate quality requirements, ensuring standards are met

Train staff when required, to company standards in working practices and processes, liaising with Maintenance Manager to agree to training and development requirements across the team

Liaise with Apprentice Mentors to ensure that adequate support is provided to the Apprentices throughout their training program, highlighting issues where appropriate to ensure they are resolved promptly

Support team members in identifying improvement activities (Kaizen), problem-solving, 5s, Workshop improvements, and Maintenance procedures.

Carry out first line performance management of the team, including coaching staff to improve performance, manage shift holiday and other absences to ensure adequate levels of resource are achieved at all times liaising with Team Leader to provide cover The Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will be educated to HNC or qualified by experience within a mechanical or electrical discipline.

Completed an Advanced Apprenticeship.

Proven experience in supervising / leading teams

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or relevant experience in lieu thereof

Experience with modern ERP application software or cloud solutions in the manufacturing or distribution industries is required. Global industrial or automotive manufacturing experience is ideal.

Experience with the development and implementation of ERP packages and the package's configuration using the software tools.

Experience with or exposure to as many of the following technologies as possible: Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, modern languages (e.g., JAVA, C#)

Extensive experience in executing tasks related to project definition and planning, business and technical requirements development, costs, and benefits details creation, and implementation tasks such as training, code development, systems and integration testing, and cutover support phases.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interaction with business users, IT team members, and vendors.

Proven experience implementing and embracing change management
